Angel Sometimes Free on Amazon

My novel ANGEL SOMETIMES is FREE on Amazon July 27th through the 29th - this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You can download it to your Kindle eReader or Kindle app.
Just before her thirteenth birthday, Angel was taken 800 miles from her home in Oklahoma, given $50 and left on South Padre Island, Texas. Four years later, Angel started the trek into her past. She hitchhiked to Austin and got a job swimming as a mermaid in a bar/restaurant in the music district. At twenty-two, she has friends, a place to live, and a future. When a homeless girl is beaten and a waitress killed, Angel realizes it's time to go home. To do that, she needs three things: her high school diploma, a car and a gun.
I had a hard time putting it down to go to bed, grabbing my Kindle up the next morning to finish it before doing anything else. Laura Eno, author of Immortal Desires
Powerful story, beautiful descriptions, heart-felt emotions, and believable, genuine characters--a truly great first novel. Christine Polkinhorn
I know I've read a great book when, after I read the last line, I turn the page for more. Karen Walker, author of Following the Whispers
I'd love for you to take advantage of the free offer of Angel Sometimes, my first fiction book. Please  pass on the offer to friends you think might enjoy it.

  2. How do you like reading on your laptop, Cold?

I spend so much time on my laptop, I think I'd hate using it for pleasure reading.

  8. I am just learning to use my brand new Kindle app on my brand new Android OS. I just happened to catch Angel Sometimes during the free download period by coincidence. It looked like an interesting read, one I could relate to. I was not mistaken. Helen, I encourage you not to follow through with a sequel for Angel. I so wish I could tell you personally why. Let her have the happy ending she deserves. 'Normal' is boring. But for those who have learned to survive by any means, 'normal' is as precious as Heaven itself. Just let her go back, with the closure she needed, and begin anew. Love, college, career, family. It's not an uneventful life, just not one that makes the Best Seller's list. ;)
