Agents Looking for Writers

Looking for an agent? If so, you’ve probably begun to think that agents right now are hunkered down trying to wait out the bad economy. There are, however, some who are looking for writers and their manuscripts.

Writer’s Digest is offering a list of 24 Agents Who Want Your Work.

The article lists each agency, the address, email addresses, their interests, what they’re actively seeking, what they don’t want, recent sales, tips and how to contact them.

If you’re looking for an agent or will be soon, click over and check out the list.

  2. They'll probably be getting a lot of NaNo queries next month! :)

  5. Thanks for the link. And now the stampede begins...

  6. Get your queries there before the NaNos. Although, Elizabeth, I hope the NaNos spend at least two months editing their one-month novels.

  7. I found that link last week. Wonderful!!! And I've heard several people suggest getting queries in before the NaNos. I would sincerely hope they spend some time editing them! I wrote a book in a month once and it needed MAJOR help before I would ever show it to anyone!

    Happy Monday,

  8. Thanks for the link. Somehow it's easier to see it here than in my magazine stack - or lamp-stand, as it is currently called.

  9. That, I don't know, Karen. My guess is that if you've had huge sales, they'd consider it.

  13. I also saw this last week. Once I get this manuscript to a point where it's ready, I'm going to hunt. For now, back to the keyboard.

  17. Thanks. I'll need to pluck up courage to try again. Last year they had a list and I carefully researched what each agent was looking for, found one that might fit, and got a reply in 2 minutes by email to say she wasn't looking for new authors in that area. But I really should try again, so thank you.

  18. Who knows, these agents could be extremely picky. But they say they are looking.

  21. Thanks. I'm about ready to start querying my NaNo novel from last year. This could come in handy.

  23. Wow, I did a search for sci-fi and every one came up as a Does Not Want. Is the sci-fi market that dead?
