The Bluestocking Guide
Over the weekend, I took part in an interview exchange. What that means is that Bluestocking, who blogs on The Bluestocking Guide, called me and did a telephone interview, which she will turn into a podcast to put up tomorrow. Since I have no idea how to create a podcast, I did a simple Q & A with her, which I will post tomorrow.
We’re doing this as part of Book Blog Appreciation Week. There’s a huge list of blogs participating in this event. And the fun part is that during this period there will be many, many, giveaways. So check out the list of blogs, not just for the prizes but for a great list of blogs to explore and bookmark.
You’ll learn more about Bluestocking tomorrow when I post her interview, but you can visit her blog today. You’ll find out she’s a lawyer and a voracious book reader. She’s a speed reader who reads on the train to work – and sometimes reads four books at once. She does book reviews and has the best rating system for books (be sure to look at her ratings guide in the left sidebar of her blog). If you like her reviews and the blog in general, you can sign up for the posts to be sent directly to your ebox through an RSS feed.
I really enjoyed getting to know Bluestocking during our phone interview and chat. My guess is she’ll have to edit for the podcast since we talked for over an hour! This was my first “podcast.” Doing a live interview is fun at the time, but after you hang up, you begin to wish you could get a do-over – change an answer, take out the uhs, not snort when you laugh, etc. But we’ll all get to listen to the podcast tomorrow and then decide if I have to go into hiding.
And be sure to come back to Straight From Hel tomorrow to read my interview of Bluestocking.

Helen,
ReplyDeleteI look forward to the podcast and the Q&A. I tried to subscribe to the Bluestocking Guide but somehow I'm overlooking the subscription link.
I e-mailed Brooke, and she sent me a link to subscribe so I'm signed up for her feed now.
ReplyDeleteChris,
ReplyDeleteGet your son to teach the rest of us how to do them!
I kind of cringe when I hear myself on the home videos and the ones I take for youtube. It's strange to hear the sound of your own voice coming from a different medium. I always wonder, do I really sound like that?

Morgan, I'm not on YouTube. Can non-YouTubers go there? If so, give the link!
