The Game of Novel Writing

Just about everyone in the world either thinks he can write a book or thinks she has the perfect story for a book. A published author could probably take bets on when the next person will come up and tell them he has a story they should write about or ask them to read their manuscript.

Now someone has actually taken this concept and made a game out of writing a book.

Sue Viders, author of more than 20 nonfiction books, has created the “Deal a Story,” a card game with a deck of 101 cards.

According to an article in Lone Tree Voice,
"Deal a Story" … combines characters with a variety of plots and genres that can produce more than 1 million story ideas.

The deck includes 16 genres, 16 villains, 16 plots, 16 character flaws, 16 heroes, 16 heroines, and 5 wildcards.

What a deal.

Deal me out.
