Book Review: No One Heard Her Scream

No One Heard Her Scream, Jordan Dane's premiere novel in her three book series (which sold in auction in 2006) is a romantic suspense. Dane has won numerous writing competitions and her writing skill shows in No One Heard Her Scream.

The book is set in San Antonio, Texas. Although Dane no longer lives in San Antonio, she clearly remembers the town well and captures its heart.

From the opening prologue to the final chapter, the story moves along, pulling the reader into the mystery. But the strongest aspect of the book is the romantic tension between the two lead characters. If you don't like sex scenes, though, this is not the book for you.

If you like modern romantic suspense, with the emphasis on the romance, you'll most likely like No One Heard Her Scream. And since the next two books in Jordan Dane's series are scheduled to come out later this year, you won't have to wait long to read more from her.

  1. The title alone should make some sales. It's hard to think up catchy ones.

  2. Now I'm torn. I was looking forward to reading her series. But I lean more toward suspense than romance, and I skip long sex scenes that slow down stories that should be page turners. (Does that sound funny, coming from the author of The Sex Club?)

  3. Did make me laugh LJ.

Sex isn't the overriding factor in the book, but it's in there enought that I thought I should say something.

  4. I agree Morgan. It's hard. And then you read a title and think, ooh, I like that. Why didn't I think of it?
